Y-3 was first launched in the fall of 2002 and is collaboration between German sportswear giant Adidas and leading Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. The Y comes from Yohji’s name with the 3 being a reference to the legendary 3 stripe design of Adidas footwear.

Since the launch of Adidas Y-3 the collection has expanded into clothing and accessories alongside the Y3 Trainers footwear range and has proved very popular within the UK.
