The Toms shoes brand was first formed back in 2006 by American entrepreneur Blake Mycoskie, although Mycoskie was originally from Arlington in the state of Texas the companies headquarters are based in Santa Monica, California.

The premise behind the companys ethos is both simple and ethical, for every pair of shoes that Toms sells they donate a pair of shoes to a child from the third world who does not have any which they call the Toms one-for-one project. Since the companies launch back in 2006, Toms has donated over 600,000 pairs of shoes, which is a fantastic achievement on both an ethical and business level.

Aside from their donation policy Toms also ensure that the factories that make their footwear operate under strict labour conditions and pay good wages, dont employ children and have fair woking conditions.

The companys makes Toms Mens Shoes and Toms Womens shoes and within each gender there are several models including Ethical, Classics, Cordones and Stitchouts. They also have models called  Vegan, Artist, Linens, Glitters, Wrap Boots and Botas.
